Rene Rodriguez is a Miami-born dancer and choreographer whose journey began in high school through musical theatre and choreographing for talent shows.
After graduating, he committed fully to pursuing dance professionally, continuing his training at the TAYB Conservatory and Miami Dade College. During his college career, he had the honor of presenting his choreography at the American College Dance Festival.
Rene’s training spans Ballet, Modern, West African, and Latin dance, but his true passion lies in Contemporary and Jazz choreography. He has worked extensively with high school and middle school dance teams, as well as studios across South Florida, creating award-winning routines and developing young dancers. In 2018, Rene became Director of Miami Movement Company, leading the team to national wins at competitions such as Showstoppers, StarQuest, and Fusion in both solo and group categories. His work has earned numerous choreography awards from competitions including HYPE, Hollywood Vibe, StarQuest, Inferno, and more. In addition to teaching, he has served as a judge for several local and national dance competitions. Rene has also built a strong performance portfolio, appearing in music videos such as Cardi B’s “I Like It”, and making television appearances on Good Morning America, The Today Show, and other national broadcasts. He has been commissioned to choreograph large-scale productions, including halftime shows for Hard Rock Stadium.
As a coach, Rene is committed to inspiring dancers to dream big and work hard. As a choreographer, he strives to create unique, exciting pieces that highlight each dancer’s strengths and performance quality. At this stage in his career, Rene is eager to bring his experience and creative vision to a new team of talented dancers
