Gustavo Ribeiro is a Brazi l ian-born, international ly recognized principal guest artist, choreographer, teacher, and director.
He has performed across Brazi l, North America, Europe, and Asia with leading companies including The Washington Bal let, Kansas City Bal let, Miami City Bal let, Oregon Bal let Theatre, and Pittsburgh Bal let Theatre.
His repertoire includes principal roles in major classical and contemporary works such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Jul iet, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Petite Mort, Diamonds, and Who Cares?, with choreography by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Jiří Kyl ián, and Twyla Tharp.
Ribeiro has choreographed for Kansas City Bal let and Orlando Bal let and holds certifications from the American Bal let Theatre National Training Curriculum, Progressing Bal let Technique (PBT), and The Washington Bal let. He has taught at prominent bal let schools in the U.S. and international ly, with students succeeding at the Prix de Lausanne, YAGP, and UBC, where he also serves as a master teacher, judge, and official representative in Brazi l.
He is the Founder and Director of the Grande Prêmio Internacional de Dança, an international competition in Brazi l promoting excel lence, education, and opportunity for young dancers.
