Isaac (Itshak) Ben Meir is a tap dancer, choreographer, and teacher with over 20 years of experience.
He trained in Barcelona at Luthier Danza under Guillem Alonso and later accepted to the prestigious Jacob’s Pillow tap program directed by Michelle Dorrance. He performed with Tapestry Dance Company in Austin, Texas, under artistic director Acia Gray, appearing in full length tap shows that combined tap dance, singing, and acting. As a choreographer and dancer with Vocal Connection Vienna–Tel Aviv, under the direction of opera singer Rosie Danziger, he created and performed original tap choreography integrated with live opera and orchestra. He has taught classes at international tap festivals, including the Stockholm Tap Festival, and has won tap contests at festivals in Prague, Sweden, and Barcelona. Now based in Florida, he continues to teach, choreograph, and perform, bringing energy, musicality, and creativity to every space he works in.
