John Tossona III was raised in South Florida. He began his dance training in 2007 in Weston, Florida as a competitive dancer studying various forms such as Hip Hop, Breaking, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap and Latin Styles such as Salsa, Bachata, and Casino too. He also trained with Broadway Dance Center in New York and with pro dancers and choreographers such as former Rockette and Broadway performer Jenny Laroche, Fuller Events Co, Otto “Aquaboogy” Vazquez, and Brendan “Shade” Eldom. Throughout the years, John has also studied and performed a variety of acrobatic skills ranging from Dance Acrobatics, Gymnastic Tumbling, Taekwondo, Capoeira, and Tricking. In 2015 John was chosen as one of the top 100 dancers of Broward County as well as winning the Jackson Memorial Hospital Dancing With The Stars Competition two consecutive years in 2015 & 2016. Professionally, John has performed and choreographed for many organizations and events such as Y-100’s Jingle Ball Village Concerts, Nickelodeon actress and singer, Liz Elias, as well as, Pablo Malco’s Non-Profit Developing Dreams Foundation for over 10 years. As an instructor, John has taught all styles of Hip Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary as well as Acro and Tumbling, John also at several studios in the South Broward Region and holds workshops for students of all ages.
Presently, you will continue to find him working alongside his wife and business partner, Danielle Tossona choreographing for competitions, recitals, quinceaneras, weddings, music artists, and of course on staff at the wonderful Dancer’s Gallery.
