After-care students have anticipated the annual recital since the start of the season, back in August, and it finally arrived on June 20, 2015. CASTn’ Vegas was the theme this year for the Dancer’s Gallery recital and most after-care students performed in several pieces throughout the show. After-care students at Dancer’s Gallery, located in Cooper City just outside Davie, take between 8-10 dance classes per week and therefore, were featured often in the recital this year.

The after school program at Dancer’s Gallery is unlike any other in the area. The monthly tuition includes pick up from local schools in and around Cooper City and Davie, homework help, 8-10 dance classes per week and performance opportunities. After-care students take classes in styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, flamenco, belly dance, acro, acting, musical theatre, and aerial silks. Students are completely engaged in the program and develop their skills rather quickly given the amount of time spent in the studio. The first half of the season is spent learning the basics and refreshing veteran students while developing technique. After-care students then learn choreography for the Annual Winter Showcase held in the CAST Performing Arts Theatre located inside Dancer’s Gallery in Cooper City. After a quick two-week break, students return to continue training and learn new choreography for the end of season recital.

Dancer’s Gallery is so proud of the after-care students and the progress they have made throughout the season that resulted in some amazing performances at the recital. Many students will continue developing their skills in the Performing Arts Summer Camp presented by Dancer’s Gallery and located in the amazing 10,000 sq. ft. facility in Cooper City.

Dancer’s Gallery is already enrolling for the 2015-2016 after-care program that begins on Monday, August 24, 2015 and runs through June 9, 2016 alongside the Broward County School Calendar.
